Lathyrus Odoratus

Chalkhill Blues

The last of my six weeks of surveying the Grayling at their last known site in Sussex. I fear for their future, having seen only twenty over the six weeks. Last week and today there were none. Plenty of other species on the wing though - Small Heath, Adonis Blue, Common Blue, Small Copper, Small White, Silver-spotted skipper, Meadow Brown, Wall Brown and most of all Chalkhill Blues. Male and female here side by side.
