Spoleto

Spoleto's is a somewhat upscale restaurant in Northampton's small downtown which just moved two blocks to this new location. Rumors have it that the owner of the restaurant was renting at his previous location but owns this building. We patronized the restaurant once or two twice in the previous location but have not been to this once. I took this in early evening, in search of a nearby blip.

We have eaten lunch several times at a more modest nearby branch of Spoleto's opposite our local Stop & Shop supermarket, from which I took this blip.

This building is now occupied by its third restaurant since we moved to Northampton in 2003. We had a wonderful meal there on 30 May 2002 to celebrate my wife's birthday, just after having seen the condominium a few blocks away which we then purchased and moved to. I hope this new occupant is worthy of the location.
