Spanish Sunday (On the Costa de Bournemouth)

Some admin/emails. Then .... I fancied a glass of Rioja. Sunday, so sadly the tapas in Southbourne was closed. Then remembered the Tapas in town with newish owners, No 2 out of the 605 eateries listed here on TA. And 5* hygiene. Always busy when we pass. Called and they had a table.

Actually better than expected. Good selection. Husband said best ham (Iberico) for ages, and ordered a second portion .

I had my favourite Berenjenas con miel (aubergine with honey), & spinach croquettes.

We were stranded in Spain a few years ago when bad weather on the border stopped trains running from Madrid to Paris (we no longer fly). So we headed to Cordoba and found a delightful bolt hole in a 3* overlooking the Mezquita (Grand Mosque). We loved it, luckily off-season so no hordes of tourists. Just one problem, what does a veggie eat? Lived on manchego and berenjenas for a week waiting for room on a train back.

Just realised haven't explained the blip. A view from Bournemouth Square as we walked home. The sun was out, thankfully pleasant and not as humid as expected.
