Recent Acquisitions (Monday 20th August 2018)

The optional theme for this week's Mono Monday is 'Compact', which made me think instantly of compact discs. This is the newest section of pending single and double CDs, waiting to be played or replayed, catalogued and filed. It looks as if there are no recently recorded acquisitions, but that would be misleading as these are just those still waiting to be dealt with, which doesn't happen in any particular order.
Some of these CDs have been represented by Lozarhythms Of The Day this year, as they've been played for the first time.
With thanks to Laurie54 for hosting.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
James Brown and the Famous Flames - There Must Be A Reason (recorded 18 September 1958, New York NY)
Found on the B-side of I WantYou So Bad and collected on the album Try Me, this is included on The Finbarr Golden Treasury Of Doo Wop, Vol. 15, as seen in the blip, which I have yet to play, but already familiar from a James Brown singles compilation I have.
The Famous Flames were a vocal doo wop quartet; the great band supporting him live and on record were simply the unbilled James Brown Band.
