A Day Worth Recording

Going on a 'Raffe Hunt

Worcester is currently sporting a collection of decorated giraffes, both large (as pictured) decorated by professional artists on the whole and small, decorated by schools.

Not entirely sure why giraffes except that the cathedral window does feature a pink giraffe in one segment (thus there's a pink giraffe in the entrance now) - and the theme is Worcester Stands Tall.

At the end of the exhibition they are being auctioned off for St Richard's Hospice.

I've rather a lot of photos.  Restricting myself to two here.

It was rather pleasant wandering around the mapped trail which, rather nicely, leads you into nice little corners of the city centre that we'd never spotted before.

Finding ourselves near D&G's we met up with G and had lunch and a catch-up at the Commandery.

Later, E bought a camera.  Some of us would pore over specifications, reviews, etc. before doing such a rash thing.  E just walks into a camera shop* and looks for something as similar as possible to what she bought 15 years ago.  There's something to be said for that approach.

* I rather like that Worcester still has one of those.
