'Meh!' he said gesticulating with a leg and shrugging, looking down at both me and the dogs sitting on the brambles, totally unconcerned. 

Not the comfiest of seats even with the brambles trodden down a bit and it was a 'carefully does it' scenario. Poppy had been in the muddy pond for a drink and preferred to want to sit on my lap whilst Tilly wasn't giving up her spot there easily. Camera in hand I was trying hard to focus. 

Not there at the wood for the dragons but for the evasive Brown Hairstreak. I was there three hours in the 'hot spot' with numerous other butterfly hunters and for the third day running it eluded me. Looking for one butterfly in a 56 Hectare wood ...hmmmm
