Marjorie's ramblings

Marital bliss - Day 6!

We had a choir practice today ready for Bellingham Show on Saturday. I'm beginning to think that our lovely choir leader is a pathological optimist. She is convinced that a small number of us can pull off a very difficult arrangement of Billy Joel's Lullaby. We don't know our parts; it's hard; the harmonies are counterintuitive; we sang it worse than we have ever done this afternoon. Hmm.

I then went to Tesco for a food shop. (There is no point going to Aldi late in the afternoon, because they are out of many fresh things by then.)

Annette and Paul - whose wedding I photographed last Saturday - have gone straight back to work. Annette was cleaning our house today. Paul called to collect her for an evening dinner with some of his relatives who have lingered in rainy Northumberland for a few days.

Here they are enjoying a cuppa in Mum's lounge. You can just see a few pieces of her embroidery on the walls and a few treasured possessions on the shelves.

Any comparison between this image and the Royle family is purely coincidental and unintentional too!
