Rough

I spent some happy minutes chasing a Monarch butterfly around my vegetable garden, and taking photos of it and a whole lot of skippers and a sweet little tailed-blue butterfly. But! It's Abstract Thursday and the challenge is "texture" so here is the stem of a sunflower. Granted, it's not particularly abstract, but what can you do? I didn't feel that fartnarkling really helped it so I went with the real thing. I did have a nice (nicer?) one of the center of the flower heavily cropped, but Blipfoto said it was too small. It would have been more abstract...
