Water tongue (belongs to a water dragon)

This is Sandy Beach about midday.  The main shot is on the west end showing some beautiful waves.   Yes, about 8-9 surfers out in this washing machine, only at this end, altho whilst I was there, didn't see too many waves actually being ridden.    The beach was an awesome place to be: windblown, rainy, the sand held down by being wet,  the wash of the waves occasionally catching an onlooker unawares.

Extras are:
1.   From the Halona Blowhole looking down on Sandy Beach.  Look how high the wash of the waves is covering the beach.  I stood about halfway down the beach looking towards the rocks to get the main shot.
2.   From the other end of the beach (around the point) looking further east.  Rain on the lens.   And look at that delicate blue sky behind.

Hurricane Lane update:
Downgraded to a category 3.   Winds on Oahu in the 20-30mph range, with gusts to 40.    Rain.   High, confused surf.  Meteorologists are still expecting a westerly turn, still not firm on when.   Still travelling slowly offshore, up the island chain.   No direct landfall hits are expected.   Hawaii Island having bad flooding problems and road closures due to torrential and sustained rain.  Maui County (between us) had a bit of a reprieve this afternoon.
