Moon carrot

..or not.

Have identified this as the wonderfully named moon carrot, but tentatively because, although conditions would be absolutely right for it round here, my rather old field guide describes it as common throughout northern Europe but rare in Britain.  However, it's hard to see what else it could be from the guide.  Perhaps someone can tell me different?

...though sadly not immediately, as I'm afraid my comments are off for a day or two.  In need of some extra sleep - you know what it's like..
