Sunbeams

Fruit of autumn

It is always a rush to pick blackberries before the hedges are cut.  We are on heavy clay and if the earth gets waterlogged hedge cutting machinery is a no because of the damage it can cause.     We are expecting prolonged wet weather at some stage after the drought as nature always has an uncanny way of balancing up over the years.

Missed the village flower show as T wanted me to drive to the other side of the A303 to collect some oil seed rape seed as he was running out.  The traffic was busy (bank holiday w/e) but I was able to cross over without too much panic and had a good cup of tea with our friend who was providing the two bags of seed.

E dropped in later with some things for baby I. They have sold their house so are having a good clear out.
