Dracula's Castle

Chilly this morning in the mountains, 12 degrees.  It soon warmed to a sunny 32.

Up early, had breakfast and we headed out on tour.  First stop was Bran Castle and Bran town.  Next stop was at the most stunning palace, Palace Peles, and wow!  The we headed back to Bucharest, and a stop of at some more building and McDonald's for tea!  Why?  On the bus now, and the long trip back to Sunny Beach.  Romania us stunning, and will have to come back.

What a great trip around Bran Castle!  We got the tour inside, and the history too.  Count Dracula was real, as we know, but he is based on Vlad Drucul III, who was know by his enimies as a monster with a thirst for blood.  The oldest part of the castle dates back to 1377.  I fell in love with the Dracula when I was a bairn, and used to watch Count Duckula cartoons.  Taken at Bran Castle, Transylvania, Romania.
