Quod oculus meus videt

Reeds and a Tree, Pelsall North Common

I'm trying to take advantage of the relatively benign conditions first thing at the moment, that often lead to mist just before the sun rises.  A walk over Pelsall North Common before breakfast, complete with an encounter on a narrow path with a young red stag.  Often a brief check of the image on the rear viewfinder can fool you, only later did I realise it was distinctly soft on focus, hardly surprising with a moving subject at a 1/40th of a second.

This was one of the first images taken, well before sunrise.  It was again one of those sunrises that hinted at more possibilities, but in the end was disappointing due to the lack of cloud.
