Wine o'clock - happy Merdeka Day!

A beautiful sunny, and warm, day. After a couple of phone calls (even the Bank has agreed that is daft to expect a digital signature executed with a mouse to match one flourished on paper with a pen) and making Minion cakes with Olivia we set forth. Except for #1 son who stayed behind to work.

We headed for Dalkeith Country Park and spent nearly 2 hours in the play park. A major fail was not taking a picnic but it did mean we could have lunch sitting outside the restaurant. The last time I was here was as a Tough Mudder spectator. It is very different now. Some final retail therapy and then home via Sainsbury's for a special cake.

And a sunny Friday evening means a drink in the garden. Some fizz went down well bedore we had the roast chicken dinner.

Amelia isn't feeling too well, may be teething. She was very grumpy and ckingy all day. Poor wee thing.
