Turned out better than expected

The forecast did not look great for today so when I got up and the clouds were colourful I went out to take a few photos just incase there was nothing to take later on. The birds were starting to arrive and We’re singing their Autumn songs .A little wren in the ornamental cherry was in full voice , although looking abit grumpy he obviously was not :)
The Victoria plums are now ripe , Mike picked some later so a crumble will be on the menu tomorrow.
It was a cold start 5 degrees so after a shop at the Co op we went needed to warm the car up so a quick Cromarty loop trip. The tide was in so quite a few birds up on the grass including more geese than the last time we were there. Heavy showers and sunshine brought out a rainbow above the rigs although very faint.
Our tumble drier has finally packed up with the on/off switch broken now so we ordered one from the Co op yesterday , using the money we had built up from shopping there going towards it, and it was due to be delivered this afternoon before 2.30-3.30pm
We loaded the tumble drier in the back of the land rover with help from David and a neighbour and took it to the tip.
A look at the marina with all sorts of boats moored in straight lines.Small fish were jumping making little circles on the surface. The bridge looked great with the blue sky and clouds as a backdrop. Several seals were hauled up on the sand and plenty of cormorants drying their wings. Picked up David’s mirror from Argos and then home .We past through several very heavy showers , I felt sorry for the people in the open top car that drove past us in the other direction !
The tumble drier had arrived when we were out and is now in place ready for it’s first load.
A wonderful sky in the evening with large pink clouds , was lucky enough to look through the telescope at the right time to see one of the dolphins leaping.
IsleMum has had busy day replying to messages and sending emails , lots of planning for the future ahead.
