Dala Horse

Yet another last minute indoor blip. I’ve really lost my mojo when it comes to blip at the moment and I’m not quite sure why.

These are the traditional gifts that get given at IKEA when someone leaves. It is the symbol of Dalarna which is a province in Sweden. What started out as a bit of a past time to carve and paint these horses to stop the boredom in the long dark nights turned into a way of trading them for household goods. Rural families depended on horse production to keep food on the table.
