Skeleton

Near to us are two small hydro-electric plants, using the drop in water level on the Thames to drive a reverse Archimedes screw to generate electricity. Both are at locks and we walked to the nearer one which was open to the public today. It wasn't in operation as the water flow wasn't high enough - the solar panels on the roof are how the plant generates energy in the summer - but having cycled past it countless times it was interesting to get close up to it.
