Das Münster
This is a view over Freiburg and the big cathedral-ly thing is called the Münster, or cathedral if you need the English name.
For Sunday, we had breakfast with R+A and their kids which was a leisurely thing where we talked of this and that for a couple of hours. Super. We said our goodbyes and went off to meet up with A+I.
We had a cracking walk through Freiburg before going up the Schlossberg for another set of cracking views. It was so warm, I had to take my jacket off - not something I'm used to doing outside in November.
All too soon though, we had to head off to the Hauptbahnhof to catch the train home. The second half of the journey was quite interesting, as the train was ancient and split into those little compartments with 6 seats in each. We got lucky and had our compartment to ourselves.
I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend away. Great to catch up with people again and just to see a bit more of the country. Incredible to think that it's only 2 and a half hours away by train. We'll be doing that again.
