An ordinary life....

Blowing hot and cold...

Alan's pal Andrew is with us today (and staying for dinner) so it's been entertaining as ever :-)

That said, they are having a day of extremes as Alan and Andrew headed out early afternoon to Glasgow as Alan had a ski session booked at Braehead.  Andrew was just watching today but think he might be persuaded to try it next time, although by all accounts he enjoyed the hot chocolate and chocolate cake while he was there so he may prefer to observe in future for that reason alone! :-)

They got back, had some refreshments and now they are in the pool!  Minus 5 degrees to hot and humid!  The music is blaring and there's lots of laughter from the pool direction so I think they're enjoying it.  They will be exhausted.

As ever, Andrew has announced he wants a chippy for tea so I suspect we will go down the easy route of having fish and chips too.  Andrew is very happy as David has booked their tickets for The Enchanted Forest for October.

A night out at this and a sleep over is usually our birthday gift to Andrew but it's his 21st in October so we're hoping to go one better and book a week at the Calvert Trust at Kielder Water.  Alan loved it there when we went two years ago.  It's a bit like Centre Parcs for people with disabilities and Alan was able to do loads of things including canoeing, zip wire, climbing wall, and his favourite - The King Swing  We thought Andrew would love it too and together they would have a great time.  Hoping to book it for early summer but won't mention to Andrew until I have spoken to his mum and it's booked.

No time to pick up my camera today so a quick faff on my phone of the beautiful roses Gail brought at the weekend.
