Another Day Hanging Around at Bristol Zoo

This is a Livingstone's Fruit Bat, which moments later turned upside down right way up and widdled all over the ground I had been standing on. Yes, they do that. Thinking about it bats would be very messy things if they didn't...

The Livingstone Fruit Bat has a wing span of 1.4 metres, and when it flies low over your head, all those vintage horror films from your youth take on a whole new feeling.

We had a lovely day at the zoo again; this time taking Charlie, who wanted to hear every talk at every animal enclosure. We therefore had a pretty educating day! And a nice de-stressing day after quite a challenging parish council meeting last night.
