A Day Worth Recording

Balls

Interesting day today - we hosted an 'away day' for the chaplaincy of the St Richard's Hospice.   They used the meeting room for a mixture of business, meditation and a communion.

They'd asked for some garden games for the afternoon so we got out the croquet and giant jenga, but they simply just enjoyed the quietness of the garden and the labyrinth that I'd mown into the railway lawn.

Before putting things away E and I had a game of croquet, with E demanding a substantial handicap advantage (extra turns, called bisques apparently).

Predictably, I came second.  I blame the lawn - a touch longer than perhaps is traditional.
