Just a Little Snack

Goodness me I felt a bit worse for wear this morning at 6am when the Little Misses decided to get up and start demanding breakfast. I can no longer cope with four hours sleep!
I accidentally fell back asleep when Mr K took them downstairs and had a much needed lie in until 9.45am.
And then the lovely Mrs G revived me with tea and cinnamon bagels.
And then some more tea!
So I was just about in a fit state to take the Little Misses and Mr L to the park. The two little ones played on most of the things while Miss E picked up worms, balanced them on leaves and took them on the swings and the see-saw. I don't know if it started off dead but it was certainly no longer with us by the time she put it in it's new home in Mrs G's garden. It had been dropped off the leaf quite a few times!!
After a yummy lunch of home made soup and a few more cups of tea we headed into Leeds to the German Christmas market. It was ridiculously busy which was a shame because there were some really lovely stalls and lots of scrummy things to eat and drink but it was too chaotic with the kids.
We did get a gingerbread house to hang up at Christmas and Miss E chose a lovely Merry Christmas heart that she wants to hang in her room. I can see an interesting dilemma in store for her when she's torn between her love of Christmas decorations and her love of gingerbread!!
She also got this tiny little candy floss!
The journey home was a bit painful - the M1 was closed at Sheffield after a big accident so rather than sit in the traffic and then suffer the chaos of the diversion we decided to head over the A1M and get back on the M1 at Leicester. It only added about half an hour to the journey but it seemed to take forever.
A family pack of Maltesers from the Services made it a bit more bearable.
What a fab weekend!! Won't leave it so long next time Gee Gee xx
