No it isn't - and that is Most Excellent.

A few years back I acquired a trekking stick from Blacks on offer. On the whole it has served pretty well but it has a really frustrating habit of jamming - to the extent that only a vice will free it again. No matter how much grease I put on the twist part of the mechanism, it jammed again this weekend.

However, I'd already given up on it and ordered two carbon fibre poles - on offer at 30 quid the pair - but the best bit is they have external clamping mechanisms, so there's nothing to get jammed inside!

They arrived today - actually they arrived in the office Friday when I was out; which is daft as they were supposed to take 4 working days - from an order placed Thursday.
