Now, as I see it......

The weigh-in

Six pounds. That's nearly three kilos. Or two bags of flour. Or 136 sushis. Or 1008 table tennis balls. 872 tea bags. And the amount I am heavier after the holiday than I was beforehand. I'm not surprised; we were well fed three times a day. The tour company would give the restaurants a budget which I suspect was fairly generous, and the restaurant would come up with the meal. Unlike in the evenings, at lunchtime it wasn't intended to cover drinks but more often than not the restaurants would throw in wine and sometimes the odd extra course; and of course, we'd eat it. We all moaned about how much food was left over and said they shouldn't serve us so much but the tour manager told us she had a chuckle to herself on the one evening we ate in the hotel restaurant at a buffet because she noticed we were still eating just as much. And with only one exception, it was all good. I'm not worried; I'll soon lose the six pounds now we are back home. It's the other 20 pounds I've been trying to get rid of for the last ten years which is more of a problem.

A day of washing today, and given it is raining the tumble dryer has been going all day too and the things that can't be tumbled are in the conservatory with the dehumidifier going full blast.

Many thanks to those who stuck with me and made comments and gave stars and a sprinkling of hearts while I was away even though I couldn't reply or look at any other peoples Blips. I shall be catching up a bit over the weekend, hopefully.
