Photographer snapped

Went to the Colony of Artists event up at Abbeyhill. After dropping in on my friend J for a bit (see extra), went round a few of the other houses, mostly looking at the work of photographers. This is A who describes himself as a hillwalker who takes pictures. He was doing the artist open house for the third year and has seen a development from a rather  scattergun approach to a more themed set of images this year - all taken on the same day.
In the evening went to the first Bellfield ceilidh (or at least the first ceilidh in the 'new', community-owned Bellfield. While L doesn't like them, my Swiss friend S came along. Managed to dance the full card, which always feels like a good night. It was good to get back to a ceilidh (can it really be more than two years since I've been to one?), and the band (Da Hooley) played my two favourite dances - the Highland Scottische and the Pride of Erin Waltz - after they put a question up on social media asking for favourite dances. S and I managed twice round on the Scottische polka at least some of the time even if was a little busy for what I think of as the 'perfect' Scottische, twice-round-every-time.
