It was "his turn" for the meal at "Tea-time".
He has to ask for
"Cumberland Sausage and chips, twice please?" - he'll get them.
Should he, inadvertently/accidentally, ask for:-
"Two Cumberland Sausage and chips please?" - that's exactly what he'll get. Two Cumberland sausages & ONE lot of chips.
While I was sitting in the car waiting; on a whim, I shot the clock.
