Flower Friday - Friday Feeling?

Another long busy day at work, but I started with a morning run which always makes a great start to the day!  

At lunch time I went to an ASK restaurant with some colleagues and ex-colleagues, one that is starting a new job on Monday and one who sadly is on long term sick. 

When our meals came one had a pretty edible flower on and as it was so nicely presented I asked if I could take a photo! I didn’t explain why because nobody asked but she was more than happy for me to do so!! 

In the afternoon I has some unwanted news which immediately made me feel low and upset. Whilst logically I know that feeling like this won’t change the outcome, I remember being told by my lovely therapist that however you feel and whatever you feel is ok, because it’s how you feel. You should never feel that your feeling are wrong, or feel that you need to apologise for the way you feel, because everyone is individual and we could all respond and react differently in the same situation.

I will try to remember this quote going forward but also remember that it is ok to have feelings.

After work I carried on with decorating my cake - a fabulous distraction! I made some decorations and buttercreamed the outside. It will be finished tomorrow.
