Birthday Sun ... + MM244 Results

Today I turned 57!  No big deal, millions older than I am, millions younger.  On my FB page, I posted the following:

                          To my real mum and dad
                          thank you for the
                          chromosome set!

As you can see, I went to work as usual, worked, went back home ... and shot this on my walk back to the car.  It's a familiar scene but I could not help it.  It's always lovely when the sun is in the shot.  At least, I think so, although photographically it can be disastrous.

I was home early so we waited about three hours, then went to the city centre for dinner, specifically to our favourite restaurant.  Actually, it's been there for ages but we hadn't patronized it for such a long time while we were living elsewhere, so it's a pleasant spot to rediscover.  For the first time in quite a while, I literally finished everything.  No dessert as we'd already had cheesecake at home, but that was okay.  A beautiful day, complete with a box of chocolates for my students ... hahaha!
