I made the most of the lovely morning in the garden and managed to clear a couple of areas in the established garden at the back and plant a couple of shrubs.  One is a Pieris Forest Flame that has been in a large container while I found it a home - it now has one.  As well as the plant two large slugs had made themselves at home.  The newly laid eggs were disposed of down the roadside drain and the slugs have been re-homed on the verge higher up our lane.  The other is a pink buddleia that I’m hoping to attract more butterflies to next year.

I was busily working away when this large-white butterfly arrived, not the most prize specimen but it posed very nicely while I took a break from the garden.  The hover-fly was a bonus.
