Life on Earth - St Boswells safari

Deep in the heart of the Borders, at first light, we can see three of the wild buses of Boswells. Seen here in their usual nesting area, they are just beginning to wake up at the start of what may be a long day ahead for some of them. They will cover a large area as they go about their business, actually picking up whole humans and taking them elsewhere.

These beauties are three of the largest of the species and have the fine red plumage that makes them stand out amongst their competitors. After their day’s work, these three, and the rest of this magnificent tribe, will return to this same lair, after dark, to refuel and rest up overnight.

Now, I hope you all read that in David Attenborough’s voice!
