Eldest offspring for an impromptu portrait

Major frustrations with middle offspring today with him just refusing to do what we ask or tell him to do. Arrggghhhhhh!

Anyways, something which almost always puts me in a happy place is to do a simple impromptu portrait of one (or more) of the offsprings. Something about being a proud Dad despite any frustrations, I think.

This is very simply lit with 2 speedlights - one behind to give a kiss of a rimlight (he kept moving too, so positioning it was difficult) and the key held in my left hand pointing directly at him unmodified for a very hard light.

P.S. Anyone know if there's a Haynes manual for kids? And, if so, is it any good?
