The old lady of the Mound.

Finally, a day off! After my late shift last night, it was a bit of a struggle to get myself up and onto a train to Edinburgh this morning. I met Dad at Waverly and we took a bus down to Newhaven to our friend John’s flat, where we spent the afternoon enjoying a few games of Canasta.

After a lovely tea of mince and tatties with cabbage (I haven’t had mince and tatties for ages) Dad and I got the bus back up town. The bus actually runs from Dad’s street to John’s, but I got off in the city centre and walked down to get a train back home. As a walked along Princes Street, I took a quick shot of the impressive building on the Mound that is the Headquarters of the Bank of Scotland.
