Chapel remains at Stanton St Gabriel.

Now reduced to the “preserved” partial shell of the Chapel walls and a remaining house, this was once the site of a saxon settlement and was recorded in the Domesday Book... (Dorset Camper)

It's our last day here in Dorset, we'll be travelling home tomorrow. The weather has been overcast and dull but dry. We went for a walk through Langdon Wood towards Golden Cap to see the ruined chapel at Stanton St Gabriel. It was a good walk and well worth the effort to see this little piece of history. You can read more about it here.

I also walked up Eype Down to take one last photo of Colmer's Hill... always good to see it from another vantage point in different weather.

The extras are another view of the chapel, Colmer's Hill and trees in Langdon Wood.
