Signals

An overcast start to the day with mist rolling in over the mountains at the back of the house; we set off on a local walk and it brightened up considerably, warm, and by late afternoon it was almost a summers day.

We walked along the old railway between Machen to Caerphilly that's been turned into a cyclepath. We turned off at the signals shown in the photograph which I've always liked.......a link to the past.

This evening I cooked for good friends Kel and Mandy, whilst Mrs BB took  Mandy for a driving lesson as Mandy passed her test many years ago but lost confidence and hasn't driven for about 20 years. Amongst Mrs BB former occupations of nurse, barmaid, etc., she was also a sought after driving instructor, before joining the Police.  First lesson went well!
