I to the hills

There is a great old Psalm which talks about the poet being under tremendous pressure and then lifting his head to catch sight of the hills, reminding him of his role as creature before the creator. It was both a humbling as well as an  uplifting realisation of the balance of power.
Whether a believer or not, we all could do with a dose of the reality that we can't do everything, we can't make everything alright, that we are not all powerful, that we have limits. It is only when we are down that we recognise the need for help. recognition of our creaturely-ness is the beginning of growth
