St Annes

Gave the house a good clean this morning. I haven't cleaned since before my op as the instruction is not to do hoovering or physical work!!! Ive left it almost a month so thought I'd better do something. Also as the sun was shining and is lower in the sky all the filth and dust, even on the hob was in full view, UGH!
I was going to Kate and John's (sister and BiL) for lunch. I'd been listening to the radio all morning and heard it is the start of baby loss awareness week. A very moving story on the radio which had me in tears.I decided to buy Kate some flowers, She suffered a baby loss after her son Simon  had been born full term, he died the following day. This was 1980 and in those days they didn't have all the support parents have now with cuddle cots, memory boxes etc. To end the week of awareness everyone has been asked to light a candle at 7pm next Monday for all the babies who didn't stay.
Kate and John took me to a garden centre in Blackpool for lunch the Christmas display is almost finished. I had steak pie and chips, it was delicious. Afterwards we had a lovely walk along the prom at St Annes.  What a lovely warm afternoon, no coats and some people in T shirts.
