A(nother) wet and windy day. Incredibly, given the conditions, 14 of us turned out for today's Ramblers walk in Cumbernauld Community Park.

Thankfully, we were all well-equipped for the weather, although our wet-weather gear did get tested to the limit on the couple of occasions when the heavy rain turned to a downpour. We were also very thankful that the walk was a local one and didn't last much longer than just over 2 hours.

From Cumbernauld Village we walked up the road to Carrickstone, then along the Via Flavia to where the Community Park borders Eastfield. A circular route round the Park brought us out to Arria (see extra), where we had our break before returning to the Village.

The autumn colours were lovely to look at, but the highlight of the day was getting home, having a shower and changing into warm, dry clothes,
