Garden at Glenfield Hospital

Planted and maintained with a grant from the Morrison Foundation. It's a lovely garden to soothe the soul with some wonderful ideas for combinations of plants.

I'd had to return to the hospital for a heart stress test in the Nuclear Medicine Department. A drug is injected via canula to cause the heart to react as if you've  run the marathon and then a radioactive tracer drug using Technetium 99m is injected. After an hour, you sit at a gamma scanner which can detect the gamma rays being emitted from the radioactive isotope and provides a picture of the performance of the  heart muscle. I shall be radioactive until tomorrow and must avoid young children.

Half life of six hours so I'll be alright some time tomorrow.

Must admit, the stress drug did rather replicate the sensation of my 'funny turns.'
