It's so tiring

This lady has been selling Big Issue outside Loughborough Town Hall for years. Always cheerful. I confess that I don't buy. It would become just so much more paper pulp. I was surprised to see her asleep. The chair and the blanket are new. I haven't seen her sitting on the job before. Maybe she's been ill.

The day started with a visit to the Orthotics specialists at Loughborough Hospital. The service has been outsourced but I was pleased with the outcome. My prescription is to be changed to include some cushioning around the arthritic big toe on my right foot which is prone to developing corns. I was told to strip out the memory foam insoles in my Skechers shoes as they were impeding the orthotic.

Then to the vet for Basil to have his worming tablets. Then into Loughborough to buy prawns and veggies and to chat to Aziz. We have been recommended the coastal route from Tetuouan to Hoceima in Morocco as being stunningly beautiful, but we would need a campervan. Len no longer wants to drive in Morocco, so that's another problem and I am reticent. To be honest, I think if I were solo, I would just do it.

Then to the leisure centre to retrieve my gilet left there on Monday while with William. I was so relieved that they still had it.

Extra is of the two lavatory attendants outside the loos in the marketplace. I had a very good conversation with a lady at Charnwood Borough Council about why the Ladies' have been closed for 6-7 weeks. The manufacturer of the paddle gate, which has been abused and broken, is dragging its feet.

Looking forward to sausages tonight and Vera on the box.
