Rotten through and through

British Gas came about 3 pm and he drained the boiler and isolated the water, gas and electric so reassures me it won't leak tonight. He's had to order a part so will come back tomorrow to fit it. Fingers crossed that resolves the situation.

It's a toss up between going to book club for a couple of hours or staying home and staring at the boiler - just to make sure it's not leaking!!  The water is back on now so I can fill the kettle and flush the toilet at least, just no hot water or heating tonight. Might be warmer to go to book club!

Anxiety is a terrible thing. I can worry and worry - and worry a bit more.  The gardener was here today to chop down one of our trees and started telling me how he struggles with anxiety which led to a long chat about how we both have our triggers.

He showed me the trunk of tree he had cut down which was completely hollow and diseased all the way through. We laughed because I said it looked like someone with anxiety, seemingly fine on the outside but a completely different story if you look on the inside!

Quote for today:
You don't have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.
