Ladies Who Lunch

My word, aren’t the mornings fairly drawing in. This morning was so dark at 7am that it was really quite difficult to swing a leg over the edge of the bed. It helped that I was looking forward to lunch with my original friend of many talents back in Edinburgh for a few days from Ireland.

And a light lunch we did -an open sandwich of smoked salmon on rye bread and a glass of wine followed by coffee and a raspberry and chocolate brownie.

Calorie caution thrown to the winds as we chatted until it became embarrassing to hog the table any longer, at which point we repaired back to the Dower House to continue until we started losing our voices, at which time we were ready to say au revoir until the next time.
His Lordship meanwhile kept his distance in the man cave- he knows better than to become involved.
