Nature Diary... From Sunrise to Sunset

It was just after 7am when the sun made its first appearance as it inched its way over the horizon, a bright orange light glowing over the blackness of the sea. And then, twelve hours later, as the light began to fade the sea changed to a very pale colour most unusual to see, and in the strange stillness of twilight a small figure appeared. Someone, a lone figure on a paddle board, moved silently towards the shore just before the darkness hid him from view.
