Branches Revealed

The colours of autumn are intensifying day by day.  Now as leaf fall accelerates the branch structures reveal themselves again.  Soon the trees will be bare again for the winter to come.  

During this transition period it's wonderful to see the yellows, oranges, russets and browns across the landscape, helped all the more when the low sun warms the scene as was the case first thing this morning.  I have to say, this is my favourites season, despite it heralding the winter with its long dark nights and cold conditions.
