Cooper's Hawk and Osprey in Flight

We drove north from Folly Beach this morning, stopping at the Caw Caw Interpretive Center--a wildlife preserve including several former rice plantations. In addition to a variety of waterfowl, for me the highlights were these two raptors: a Cooper's Hawk (probably a sub-adult), and an Osprey (don't miss the extra).  After lunch we visited the Angel Oak--a huge oak tree which was truly impressive. After reaching Charleston we took a guided tour of the architecture in one of the oldest parts of the city.
