Escalator

This is the escalator linking Aldersgate Street to the High Walk Entrance to the Museum of London.

I visited the museum today to see the exhibition "London Nights", a large collection of photographs recording London and London life after dark, when the daytime workers and commuters have made their way home, and the night workers, party goers, clubbers and others come out or the streets are quiet and deserted.  The theme was given a very wide interpretation, with photographs from the late 1800s up to the present day. It was an impressive exhibition.

Afterwards I walked down to a pub on the Thames to meet up with some old colleagues from my career job and had a very enjoyable pint and natter.  There always seems to be plenty to talk about.
