Rhodo Festival

The Rhodo Festival is one of the longest running festivals in Australia and for the first time in many years the Rhodendrons are blooming at the right time. We often think the festival should be run a month earlier because that seems to be the time in Blackheath that they are at their best.

They are truly the most delicate blooms and so spectacular en mass. I took this one in Sussex Park on the outskirts of Blackheath. The park is a really nice welcome to visitors as they enter the village.

I have been really delighted with the response to this week’s Tiny Tuesday Challenge and I’m looking forward to seeing some brilliant images coming through for TT179 when the “Stamen” Challenge gets into full swing :)
