Normandy: Liesville-sur-Douve

A long, narrow road leads to this small village which adjoins the river Douve and its vast expanse of water-meadows.

The serene autumnal scenery, with its tall poplars, fishermen and grazing animals (on photo 2) , could not have been bettered.
