Derwent Water from Maiden Moor

Today's expedition with Mr hazelh, Katherina, Andrew and Ruby was a hill walk in the Lake District to the peaks of Cat Bells, Maiden Moor, and High Spy. It was very cold and sunny all day, so we enjoyed amazing views all the way (and the caramel wafers in our picnic froze solid!) The only drawback for me was that my right knee decided that it wasn't too keen on the descent. I was in so much pain at one point that I worried that I might throw up - yikes!

Happily I made it home with my innards intact and had a great appetite for supper in the pub with the rest of the gang this evening.

My extra shows me with Mr hazelh at the top of Maiden Moor.

Exercise today: walking (19,368 steps).
