Stand out

Woken by rooks and a beautiful sunrise....when we peeked outside there was frost on the grass but sun pouring over the hill opposite (extra). Gorgeous.
Over for breakfast to the main hotel...quiet when we arrived so I suspect everyone was confused about the clock changed time.
We then went for a wander along the riverbank, with stunning colours from the trees, a heron standing sentinel and fish jumping.
We headed off to see the Kelpies (so love the contrast against blue skies like there was today), listening to the Archers on the radio on the way. Bought a few bits and pieces in the shop then, loaded up with coffee, we headed to the car for the last leg home.
That’s where things went wrong. We hit football traffic so K missed her train....but dropped Tr at the tram for the airport and came home for tea and interior design chat before I took K for the next train.
Spent the rest of the day in some sorting out and catching up, finally had wedding nails redone and did some laundry. It’s been a lovely weekend
