Caught

Dear Diary,

It has been quite the depressing weather we are having, at least for the last few days.  Torrential rain following heavy snow and a bit of wind mixed in for good measure.  I haven't seen the sun in days.  Most of our snow is gone except along the edges of the field and other sheltered places.  I feel like this little leaf caught and held in place, waiting.

Hopefully, the sun will make an appearance and melt the remaining snow.  There is a bit of yard work left to do and John was supposed to come this afternoon but it may be too soggy for him.  I've got to get out and do a few errands today.  Enough with the "stay in and read" thing!
